Styring Winery

Location: Newberg, Oregon
Services Provided: Design, Construction Drawings & Construction Administration

Our firm provided design services for a new vineyard and winery in the fast growing wine country of Yamhill County. Although the grapes had been planted only three years prior and were not yet ready for making wine, the owners of Styring Vineyard had the foresight to begin developing the winery facilities early, to be ready to handle the first harvest. The design concept was to build a structure with a logical foot traffic path through the winery and then into the "cave," a naturally cooled tunnel where the wine is aged in oaken barrels. As one walks through the cave and exits through the custom-made wood doors, they are presented delightful views of the Willamette Valley forests.
